The Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations, His Excellency Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., says the development and empowerment of women remain one (1) of the priority areas for the Government of Liberia.

Civil Society Organizations(CSOs) and Inter-Governmental Organizations that attended the just ended Sixty-third (63rd) Commission on the Status of Women (CSW63) in New York,  have hailed the Government through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection for the level of collaboration throughout the conference.

The Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations, His Excellency Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., has told the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (CLCS), that the Republic of Liberia attaches the highest importance to the establishment of the outer limits of the continental shelf.

The Government of Liberia, in partnership with the Barefoot College of India, is planning to open a Vocational Training Center at the Grand Bassa Community College, for the training of rural women in the use of solar energy.
